  • Can multiple specialists review my case?
    Yes. Our platform Second Consult offers the insight of multiple specialists for a variety of cancers, surgical treatment advice and other conditions. In such instances, an entire team of expert physicians reviews your case, exploring all your options to ensure every aspect of your condition is considered. The expert team may include surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists and other sub-specialists.
  • How much does a consultation cost?
    We are a not-for-profit organisation and aim at making a second review of your results as affordable as possible. The all-inclusive cost for a consultation (including the creation of the patient’s file) varies between 300 and 1500 rupees. This fee includes: Consultation with our Team. Creation of your personal digital file Review of your results and primary diagnosis (imaging scans, lab tests…) by a specialist Once you contact us via the Contact form, we will get in touch with you and give you a personalised price quote. Patients who cannot afford this fee can submit a request for a sponsored consultation through our charitable fund.
  • Why should I get a Second Opinion from Ask a Doctor?

You seek personal peace-of-mind on a life-changing diagnosis or treatment plan You have some questions which you didn't have time/didn't want to ask your doctor You have read a lot on google about a condition and its treatment and are confused about what to believe Even what could be considered minor health issues, such as a dental treatment, are often worthy of a second specialist’s opinion.
  • How does Ask a Doctor work?
    Once you get in touch with us via the Contact us form, our Personal Care manager will get in touch with you within 48 hours. We may ask you for some relevant documents and information related to your condition. Ask a Doctor will then put you in touch with a selected verified specialist. You will receive a personalised consultation (video call, in-person meeting, telephone call..) with the specialist you have chosen who has carefully reviewed your health history, test results and other relevant medical records. Your diagnosis and treatment options will be discussed in detail, addressing any questions or concerns you may have. Full confidentiality is preserved throughout the process.
